MEET ADEENA
Dating guidance shaped by years inside the shidduch world.
Hi, I’m Adeena Halberstam. I’m a wife, mom, shadchan, and dating coach, and for more than 15 years I’ve been deeply involved in helping singles move toward marriage.
I love seeing people find the right person. I also know how confusing the process can become when too many voices, too many opinions, or too much pressure make it hard to hear your own judgment.
That is why I coach.
I grew up in Los Angeles, where I now live with my husband and our five children.

The part of shidduchim I kept coming back to.
Over the years, singles would call with questions that had very little to do with finding the next name.
Should I go out again? Why does this keep happening to me? Am I being too picky? Is this a real concern or am I overthinking it? How do I tell my shadchan what I actually need?
Those conversations showed me how valuable it can be to have one thoughtful person who understands the frum dating world and is focused on helping you think clearly.
I am not here to hand you a checklist or tell you whom to marry. My role is to help you understand what is happening, notice patterns, ask better questions, and make decisions that feel grounded in your values and who you really are.
MORE THAN 15 YEARS OF REAL-WORLD EXPERIENCE
I still see dating from the shadchan’s side too.
I have spent more than 15 years volunteering as a shadchan. That experience has given me a view of the process that most singles do not get to see.
I have watched how people describe what they are looking for, how resumes are read, how references shape a first impression, how feedback travels, and how promising relationships sometimes get derailed by confusion that could have been handled differently.
I still make matches on a volunteer basis. It is something I care about deeply. But matchmaking is not part of my paid coaching service.
When you hire me as a coach, the focus is you. Your dating life. Your questions. Your patterns. Your decisions.
COACHING TRAINING
Experience, with a coaching framework behind it.
In addition to my years as a shadchan, I received a dating coaching certificate from Rabbi Dr. Yossi Ives.
The training gave me a more structured way to help singles work through the thoughts, habits, expectations, and decisions that can affect dating. I bring that framework into sessions without turning the conversation into a formula. Every person and every dating situation is different.
Warm, honest, practical, and very real.
I want coaching to feel like a conversation you can actually use.
You can bring the awkward question. The date you cannot stop replaying. The feedback that bothered you. The pattern you are tired of repeating. The thing you are embarrassed to admit to your parents or shadchan.
I will listen carefully, ask questions, and tell you what I see. Sometimes that means reassurance. Sometimes it means challenging an assumption. Sometimes it means helping you separate a true value from a preference that has taken on too much importance.
The goal is not to make every date work. The goal is to help you date in a healthier, clearer, more confident way so you are better able to recognize what is right for you.
Coaching for Orthodox Jewish singles dating for marriage.
I work privately with both men and women. Some clients are actively dating. Others are preparing to date, returning after a break, or trying to understand why the process has felt stuck.
You do not need to fit one exact frum label to benefit from coaching. What matters is that you are dating within an Orthodox Jewish framework and are serious about building a marriage.
A CLEARER DATING PROCESS CAN START WITH ONE CONVERSATION
Want to see if we’re a good fit?
Start with a free 10-minute discovery call. Tell me what has been going on and what you would like help with. We can decide together whether coaching makes sense.
No pressure. Just a real conversation about where you are and what might help.
